Scenes From Mother's Day In March

On Saturday night, we went to Mother's Day in March, a pop-up restaurant/event at the Boston Center for Adult Education. All proceeds from the pop-up went toward helping local chef Will Gilson's mother rebuild her greenhouses, which were destroyed by this winter's heavy snows. Here are some pictures from the event.

Unfortunately, these were rife with misspelled names and restaurant names,
but at least we knew what we were eating!

The space at the BCAE was really interesting for holding a pop-up. There were a bunch of long tables set up in different rooms, and food was served family style. The lights were much brighter than typical restaurant lighting, which made for great pictures, but gave the atmosphere less of a formal restaurant feel.

I was most impressed with the lineup of chefs who came together and donated their time and so much more to help a fellow chef whose mother was in need. I'm really glad we bought tickets to support this cause and that we got to enjoy some delicious food and great company.
