For the last of the wedding posts, I just wanted to share some shots of Jeff and me on our wedding day.

I also wanted to mention the vendor whose work you've been seeing throughout these posts, and that's our photographer Kevin Jacobus. As they say, a picture is worth a thousand words. Kevin was great to work with, and so many of our wedding guests noted how amazing he was hauling around three (or was it four?) different cameras and being here, there, and everywhere to get shots of our special day.

We actually found Kevin through our venue. He had done weddings there before and we thought it was important to work with someone who knew the venue. We also loved his style, which is photojournalism. This means you get more shots of the story of the night than lined-up posed shots (though we asked for some of those as well). When we met with him, we found him easygoing and knowledgeable and knew that he would be a great vendor to work with.

Through Kevin, we found our DJ Eric Poss, whom we also loved working with. We liked him right off the bat. He seemed incredibly knowledgeable about weddings and timing, and that sets a neurotic bride at ease (not that I was stressed or anything!). He kept the music flowing and controlled the timing of our wedding without going overboard, as some DJs do. He also kept our guests dancing. I had plenty of suggestions for ceremony and cocktail music, but for the dancing, I let him have free reign and just play whatever was popular or would get people on their feet, and he did just that.

It was great having a DJ and a photographer who knew each other and have worked together before because it kept the wedding flowing and moving as it should. We were able to just relax, have fun, and enjoy being with our guests.

We really loved all of our vendors and definitely recommend them.

I hope you've enjoyed these wedding posts, and I'm happy to answer any questions about our vendors or wedding planning in general.
